Proud Father Moments II

In preparation for memorial day our scout troop asked volunteers to go place flags in the Raleigh National Cemetery. So we went and spent a few hours doing that, it was a great experience and started a lot of good conversations with my kids. While we were there a photographer for the North State Journal was taking pictures (photo credit for Madeline Gray) and she snapped two good ones of my youngest. The one above and the one that made the cover of newspaper.

I am very proud of my boys, not just for this, but for the young men I believe they are growing into… in spite of my best efforts as a parent to ruin them. I love them both very much.
